The Beatles John Lennon 1963 Leeds Autograph (UK)
A page that has been taken from an autograph book which has signed by John Lennon in blue ballpoint pen. The autograph was obtained at the Odeon Theatre, Leeds, Yorkshire on 3rd November 1963. It comes with letter from the recipient that reads I was brought up in Leeds and our family was heavily involved with the cultural life of the city. My mother, in particular, was a participator in the Good Old Days and became friends with Barney Colehan the producer/director.
He managed to obtain tickets for my sister and I to go to Top of the Pops then filmed in Manchester. When the Beatles came to the Leeds Odeon in November 1963 I went down with my autograph book and was able to get a little further than many others due to Mr Colehans influence. My autograph book was sent backstage and I waited until it came back with the Beatles and John Lennons autographs in it. I have treasured them ever since.The page measures 10cm x 7.5cm (3.9 inches x 2.9 inches). There is a small mark on the page.
The condition is very good plus. Near mint = Almost like new with one or two very minor flaws. Excellent = Minor wear yet looks attractive and is perfectly usable.Very Good = Some wear and tear but overall presentable and usable. Good = Apparent wear and tear but with obvious deterioration of the condition.
