Original LOOK magazine, January 9, 1968: the iconic Richard Avedon psychedelic John Lennon cover, one of the most recognizable images of the Beatles era. This copy is COMPLETE with the famous Avedon Beatles fold-out portfolio still attached: the full-color psychedelic portraits of John, Paul, George and Ringo, plus the fold-out black-and-white portrait panel of all four Beatles. The special issue also covers'Sound and Fury in the Arts' with Leonard Bernstein. Condition: near mint for its age.

Colors are bright and vivid, pages are clean, and the fold-out is intact. It has been stored flat in a protective plastic sleeve for years, so there are no rolls or storage creases. Original subscriber mailing label on the lower front cover, as shown. A true piece of 1960s pop-art and Beatles history, and a standout for any Beatles, Avedon or vintage magazine collection.
