Jon Hague Study of a Female Signed and Dated 1990, Framed. Studied with John Lennon at Liverpool College of Art where they were known at the Art College as the two "John`s ".

The Beatles were the inspiration for a number of Hague`s Paintings. John and Paul sponsored Hague`s Exhibition at the Royal Institute in 1967 (See my picture John Lennon was present at the opening Night). 12th to 17th August 1963 The Beatles played a weeks residency in Llandudno, Wales Jonathan Hague leant them his Car for the entire Week as it was difficult for them even then at that pre-Beatlemania period with fans. In August 1967 he was at Bangor listening to the Maharishi when on the 27th news of Brian Epstein`s Death came through from London, He is sitting with the Wives + Girlfriends of The Beatles on the front row at Lennon`s Invite. Please see the two photographs from my collection which are not included but added for detail on the story. Picture 4 shows typed reverse of the 1967 Exhibition Photo 3 with Lennon. So just to make it clear pictures 3,4 + 5 are not included its the 1990 Dated Hague Sketch of Female Study for sale. Picture 5 shows Hague on far left looking sideways its 1959 or 1960 with John Lennon, Cynthia Powell + Tony Carricker outside Liverpool College of Art. There is a Hague Painting of The Beatles Sgt Pepper hung at the Beatles Museum in Liverpool on loan from the family.
