Vintage, original gelatin silver, single weight, glossy finish rare press photo of John Lennon. It's possible it has been trimmed and was originally 8" x 10", but I've seen some odd sizes in news photos.
Overall really nice, clean shape that will display well. There is some light surface wear and creasing in a few spots that don't show up unless you hold it a particular angle in the light. Reuter snipe on the reverse. The crease that you see in the snipe on the back is only a crease on that paper, and not on the photo itself. The photo was taken during the rehearsals for Around the Beatles...The 1964 British television special featuring the Beatles, produced by Jack Good for ITV/Rediffusion London. It was taped in Wembley Park Studios (now Fountain Studios) in London on 28 April 1964, and broadcast internationally, with its initial airing on 6 May 1964, and in the US on the ABC network on 15 November.
The show featured other performers as well, with the Beatles providing backing vocals for some of them. The music had been pre-recorded at London's IBC Studios on 19 April 1964.
