Original The New Standard (London) UK Newspaper Poster from 9th December 1980. Comes with the early printing of The Standard that day complete Newspaper mirroring the poster the later final editions had John`s Last Words Help Me I`ve Been Shot as the header. His photographs were syndicated around the World taken with a fairly basic Minolta. There are 2 faint blu-tac marks where it was probably on his wall at some time. The corresponding Newspaper from that day has been added just the Poster was owned by Paul Goresh. Due to the time difference between New York and the UK 8th December in USA was the early hours of 9th December in the UK. John Lennon Shot Dead as displayed in hoardings in the London Area only. Folded condition as they were sent out at that time. Excellent with tiny tear on the S.

Printed on thin stock paper and sometimes discarded the same day for a later headline but certainly by the next day. Some were of course retrieved by passers by from their hoardings in the same way Beatles ones were in the Sixties. The New Standard was only available in London.
