John Lennon Borrowed Time lyric 438/1000 Bag One Arts Inc. Bought this from a gallery in Denver, Colorado in 2004 when Yoko Ono came to town to show this and others in the collection.
To be clear in case you don't see that this is listed as a reproduction in the details, this is a very fancy, extremely nicely done serigraph (I believe they call it) of the original handwritten lyric sheet by John, this is NOT actually signed by John. It is hand numbered, this is 438 our of a limited edition of 1,000. When it was framed by the gallery, it was sealed, and it has remained so ever since.
Over the years it has been both displayed and safely stored, always in a smoke free home and environment. It is with some sadness that I let this go, however, I recognize that over the last 20 years there has been many many younger people listening to, and collecting Beatles stuff, and I understand what a fun challenge it can be as a collector and I just know that someone will get a tremendous amount of joy from this. So it's time for it to go to a new home. I chose John's lyrics for Borrowed Time because I feel like they're very personal, and have a deeper meaning now considering how his life was so senselessly cut short.Plus it's a great song that I love. Total frame size is 15 1/2" x 18 1/2". The print itself measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/2".

"Borrowed Time" is a song from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's last album, Milk and Honey.
While the single failed to chart in the United States, it charted at number 32 in the UK Singles Chart. The B-side features Ono's song "Your Hands" from the same album. From the album Milk and Honey.
The song was inspired during Lennon's 1980 sailing holiday from Newport, Rhode Island to Bermuda. During the journey, Lennon's yacht encountered a prolonged and severe storm, resulting in most of the crew eventually succumbing to profound fatigue and seasickness. Lennon (free of seasickness) was eventually forced to take the yacht's wheel alone for many hours. Lennon found this terrifying but invigorating, with the effect of both renewing his confidence and making him contemplate the fragility of life (Lennon claimed his recovery from heroin addiction some years earlier had rendered him immune to seasickness).
Once he arrived in Bermuda, Lennon heard the line'living on borrowed time' from Bunny Wailer's "Hallelujah Time" and was inspired by his recent experience to write the lyrics around that theme. Wailer was also the inspiration for the reggae feel of the music. Lennon commented that living on borrowed time was exactly what he was doing but then said, come to think of it, it's what we're all doing, even though most of us don't like to face it. Living confusion and deep despair. Living illusion of freedom and power.Full of ideas and broken dreams (my friend). When I was younger ah hah. Everything simple but not so clear. Without a thought for tomorrow. The more that I see the less that I know for sure.
