Grampian Microphone As Used by The Beatles (John Lennon & The Quarrymen)

It was 60 years ago that The Beatles made their first ever recording as The Quarrymen. They used a Grampian Microphone identical to this one. If you google John Lennon & The Quarrymen you will find many photographs of Lennon singing into one of these Grampian Microphones.

Die cast case with chrome front built in the late 1950's this is a Grampian Microphone with on/off switch and special connector and lead. Impedance tested at 18 ohms and balanced output. Very retro, with an authentic sound.
