Originally acquired in the early 80's directly from Gordon Millings whose father was the owner of Millings and Son tailor shop. This was the famous tailor shop used by the Beatles, many movie stars, and other important music figures. The trousers have the original Millings and Son bevo label and the additional label with hand-written notes with a John Lennon July 1967.
The artwork is a copy of the 6 July, 1957 flier for the Woolton St. Peters Church Garden Fete where Paul McCartney met John Lennon.
After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small fragment of material (left by the tailor) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the trousers. The removal was done by a professional seamstress. The display also contains 3 actual film frames from a documentary showing photos of John and his Quarrymen band performing that day. This display comes with a laminated COA card on the swatch and one for the film frames and is stored in a blue velvet zipper case.
