A genuine Uncle Charlie Lennon signature on a handwritten letter for sale, dating to 1994 at the time of a'Beatles associates' collection of autographs was being assembled. Charles Lennon was an Uncle to John Lennon and features in the stories of his upbringing in Liverpool. The person assembling the autographs and signatures was called Mark Bowers, attending a number of Liverpool based Beatles conventions in the mid 90's. Recently his collection went under the hammer.
The letter is written in black ink on a small piece of lined paper. In the letter Uncle Charlie is quite witty mentioning a Granada TV visit, the age of his cat, then his own age, and also another great line.
