1970 JOHN LENNON hand signed Bag One lithograph autographed 23 x 30 Beatles COA

1970 John Lennon signed Bag One lithograph "Erotic 8". Sought after original Bag One lithograph from a portfolio of fifteen, titled Erotic No. Hand signed by John Lennon in graphite pencil to the lower right and numbered 97 of 300. The sepia litho is printed on Rives BFK paper, measuring approximately 23" x 30". The condition of the piece is excellent. It's a very clean, bright print.

There are two small areas on the back with surface damage to the paper, most likely from where the print was held in place with two small pieces of tape during previous framing. They do not intrude on the front side of the print in any way. The print comes with the original certificate of authenticity from Bag One Arts Inc.

John Lennon originally created a portfolio of drawings in 1969 which he entitled "Bag One". These drawings depicted John and Yoko's wedding and honeymoon and he presented them to her as a wedding gift. He personally signed each lithograph and attended the premier opening in London. When the drawings were released as lithographs they were confiscated by police in several countries because the erotic contents of some of the drawings were considered to be obscene. Although the charges of obscenity never held up in court, many of the lithographs were destroyed by mishandling and John was discouraged from showing his artwork in public for many years after!
